The customer bought a Digiprog 3 mileage programmer from us in January, and everything was fine. But early this week, when he was adjusting mileage for a 2008 Honda and a 2004 Toyota, the main unit showed that the two cables were required to get the mileage correction done.
We have several customers who encounter this situation. As our product introduction put it, for most cars, Digiprog 3 can adjust odometer data via OBD2 port, but for some particular ones, it will require to disassemble the dashboard and get access to the mileage chip. Then you will need a cable to connect the chip and the odometer correction tool, which will be ST01 or ST04 cable. Or you can replace the cable with a 01/04 adapter. But since a few customers have told us that they find it difficult to handle the adapter, we still recommend you to use the Digiprog 3 main unit cables.
After you enter the car model in the odometer programmer, the device will tell you what cable it will need. And by using the cable to grip the chip, and then connecting the cable to Digiprog 3 main unit, you will be able to correct mileage data from it.
